"The joyous sights and sounds of backyard bird feeders fill neighbourhoods across the country. In the morning, the chickadees seem to appear out of nowhere to eat happily out of my hand. A group of noisy blue jays and two or three squirrels soon arrive to haggle over the ownership of the feeder. I can't help but wonder about the incredible variety of birds and animals that show up looking for their next meal."
