“Since the early 1700s, the Maple Leaf has been a widely recognized symbol of Canada.” The complete Artist's Statement appears on the accompanying card.
"Since the early 1700s, the Maple Leaf has been a widely recognized symbol of Canada. With the exception of the northern territories, there is at least one species of maple tree found in each of our provinces. This year's design was created first by capturing impressions of real leaves by casting them as finely as possible in pewter. As a Canadian, it is an honour and a pleasure to bring such a highly regarded international symbol into this year's ornament."
Trimmed with a burgundy ribbon, each ornament is ready for hanging on the Christmas tree or in a window. We can add a brief hand inscription to create a wonderful keepsake. It comes packaged in a burgundy gift envelope that is convenient for gift giving or mailing. Begin a collecting tradition that will be treasured for generations. 3.5"H
