This presentation will explore the causes and consequences of World War 1 (often known as the Great War) with a particular focus on Canada's involvement. While we often know when and where wars occur, we may not fully understand why they begin, the key events that unfold, or their lasting impacts.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eAfter 116 years, many questions about the Great War remain unanswered—a conflict that toppled empires, altered the world order, and marked the beginning of the modern era. The presentation will cover the long-term factors that led to the war in 1914, significant events during the conflict, and the enduring effects it has had on subsequent wars.
